I often wonder if those involved in this debate know all the facts regarding the healthcare initiative. It has been a benefit to millions of children who would otherwise be without healthcare, as well as seniors who are able to get reasonable medical services and medicines that are needed for every day living.
I find those protesting the most have nothing to lose, they don't have sick children, or ailing parents. They see that their money is going out the window for a seemingly worthless program... that is until they get sick, or someone they love gets sick.
I am not promoting politics, but I do know with my involvement in Make A Wish that parents struggle financially to just keep their co-pays and insurance payments going when a child is sick, once they meet their insurance cap they are on their own... what if it was your child? It's not like they say, hey I really want Leukemia today... it's not a choice, but voting to repeal portions of this law... that is a choice.
